On the lines of Madhya Pradesh, those who keep native cows in Bihar will also get help from the government
On the lines (तर्ज पर) of Madhya Pradesh, protection will be given to indigenous cows (देशी गाय) in Bihar also. The matter has progressed. At present, the state government is conducting (संचालन) the study of the MP model. After considering (मानते हुए) all the facts, an ideal model of cow protection will be adopted. Along with cowsheds (गौशाला), preparations are also being made to encourage private cowherds. Deputy Chief Minister and Animal and Fisheries Resource Minister Tarkishore Prasad has called a meeting of the presidents and secretaries of all the gaushalas of the state.
At present, there are 86 government gaushalas in 33 districts in Bihar. All details have been sought. Along with this, information has been sought about the land of cowsheds, its condition and the number of animals etc. Kaimur, Arwal, Banka, Sheohar and Purnia districts do not have a single government cowshed. In fact, the Madhya Pradesh government has announced a grant of nine hundred rupees per month to indigenous Gopalkas who do natural farming. That is, there is a plan to give 10 thousand eight hundred rupees annually per cowherd. For the protection and promotion of cattle in Bihar, many schemes are being run under the self-reliant Bihar Saat Nischay. The process of establishment of Animal Science University Govansh Vikas Sansthan is being completed.
Tarkishore Prasad says that indigenous cows are getting neglected in the race to get more milk. For their conservation and promotion, it is necessary to start closed gaushalas and make new gaushalas as per the need.
employment opportunities will increase
Employment opportunities will be created by conservation and promotion of indigenous cows. The milk of indigenous cows will bring (लाओ) economic self-sufficiency (आत्मनिर्भरता) and prosperity (समृद्धि) to the farmers. A new white revolution (क्रांति) can be started by increasing awareness (जागरूकता) about A-2 milk and promoting the rearing of indigenous cows.
The Government of Bihar is working continuously for the protection and promotion of indigenous cows. In this connection, efforts are being made to study better models of other states and implement better systems.- Tarkishore Prasad, Deputy Chief Minister
